About the Artist

Welcome to the world of art I have been creating in my studio for more than 30 years now.   I am delighted to have the opportunity to share my paintings with you.  I believe that art should create emotion, and I hope my work makes you smile and fills you with a sense of wonder.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to take workshops from many internationally famous artists including Robert Wade, Barbara Nechis, Skip Lawrence, Jan Kunz, Z. L. Feng,  Don Andrews, and Janet Walsh.  Most of my work today is in watercolor, but I have also found considerable joy in working with soft pastels and colored pencils.  Sometimes the simplest work can be the most magical.

We are all so busy these days that we have trouble appreciating the beauty that surrounds us.  So, I hope you will take your time, relax, and just wander through my website and enjoy the various works whether they present flowers, landscapes, exotic locations, or some other topic that called to me.  

 
Whenever  I start a new painting, my goal is to capture a special moment where a color or shape or maybe just a particular point in time feels right. I call those moments of joy.   Whenever I’m out and about, I take my time to really study the beauty of the world that is around all of us and then work to capture that same emotion on my paper.  

I hope you’ll study each painting so that you’ll better appreciate the message that I am working to capture, and, of course, I hope many of my works will make you smile.
